what's been going on....

Klade has been wiring the basement in hopes that we can close off a couple of rooms for food storage and a project room. Kelton has loved this. He can't wait to get up on Saturdays and help Klade do some wiring. Believe it or not, he actually is a little bit helpful. The only problem is the Klade usually has a headache by the end of the day from all the questions that he asks. fun days of "story hour" at the library. We are faithful attenders because I AM the story hour lady. This works out nicely because story hour is on Tuesdays and preschool is on Wednesdays and I just use the same ideas and do it twice. Kelton hasn't complained yet. It works for me.

It is now February and we are all getting a lot of wishful thinking for Springtime.

Many of Kelton's recent conversations have been something like this....

"Mom. Can we cook hot dog's over the fire?

"Mom. When can we have a picnic. We haven't had a picnic for a very loooooong time.

"Mom. When are you going to get the pool out?

"Mom. When is it going to be summer? Winter is taking a LOOOOOOONg time.

Today he must have been getting desperate.

"Mom. When can we go out and pull weeds in the trees? Can we pleeease just pull weeds in the trees? No honey. We can't pull weeds cuz they are all dead right now. It is winter time.

I HATE winter time.

I have to agree. It has been a very looooong winter with no snow on the ground to even play in. Just mud, cold temps, and wind.

We can't wait for Spring.
